Just like BPA, Parabens are becoming increasingly controversial from the perspective of their health concerns to the human being.

Excerpt from wiki:

One scientific study reports that parabens were found in samples of breast tumors. The validity of this study’s conclusions has been debated in the scientific literature. Nevertheless, this study has fueled the belief that parabens in underarm deodorants or other cosmetics migrated into the breast tissue and contributed to the development of the tumors. However, no causal link with cancer has ever been proven and so far there is no scientific evidence to support any link with any form of cancer. Some scientists believe that it may be correlated with breast cancer, based on a study by UK scientists in which preservative chemicals were found in samples of breast tumours. Their analysis of 20 breast tumours found high concentrations of para-hydroxybenzoic acids (parabens) in 18 samples. What supports this argument is based on the ability of parabens to mimic the hormone estrogen, which is known to play a role in the development of breast cancers.

Even though it is impossible to link parabens directly with tumours based on the current studies, it is also impossible to say parabens are safe as well since their long-term health effects of exposure are essentially unknown.

In the July 2002 issue of the Archives of Toxicology , Dr. S. So why take the chance and still “mess” with it when there are possibilities of such adverse health effects on your loved one like your wife and your babies?

Parabens can be found in shampoos, commercial moisturizers, shaving gels, cleansing gels, personal lubricants, topical pharmaceuticals and toothpaste. They are also used as food additives in some products. Basically, they are everywhere! A huge percentage of the products we buy for everyday use contain some form of paraben, so it is rather difficult to find products that do not use them.

Of course, it is not totally impossible. Normally, you can see some organic products in the market claiming that they are free of parabens or other related chemicals. But the cost of using them is usually quite stressful for everyday’s usage. Not everyone can afford that.

Knowing this, Bumble Bee has carefully researched and introduced a 100% natural Baby Safe Liquid Cleanser, which is free from parabens and many other possible harmful chemicals like LABS, SLS, SLES, CDE, Phosphates, Silicates and Betaines. It contains only natural ingredients like botanical surfactants, essential oil, vinegar, thyme extract, citrus extract and orange extract. With certification from approved labs’ tests, it is perfectly safe to use for cleaning baby bottles, toys and accessories and even fruits or vegetables.
